Once upon a time, in the village of Ainu (Hokkaido), there was a young man who is very devoted to his mother. Mother of the young man had been suffering from the disease, but the two people lived happily.

One day, the sea was continued rough few day. Ainu people can not be fishing in this. Food has disappeared and the mother was not able to eat foods.

The young man was troubled very much. The young man thought, "in this situation my mother may die." When he walked sadly near the river, he found the willow. It was a very beautiful willow.

The young man wished to the beautiful willow. "Please give for foods to sick mother". Then a gust of wind blew, and many the leaves of the willow was whirled up. Leaves a lot of that fell into the river, it became a lot of fish.

The young man took a fish home, and his mother ate the fishes. Then mother got well day by day and her disease improved. Happy ending.
