You have to see Ise-zingu.
The Ise-jingu Grand Shrine is divided into two shrines, the Naiku, (Inner Shrine,) and the Geku, (Outer Shrine).
The Naiku was built in about B.C. 10, the Geku in 480AD.
Since the Imperial Household's God is worshipped at the Shrine, the ties with the Imperial Family and the Imperial Court are strong. The Prime Minister and some other ministers visit the Shrine every new year, so it’s a national instifution.
The Naiku irebuilt once every 20 years, and at That time is called Shikinen Sengu, (transfer of the deity).
Although the Geku is situated near Ise Station, more people visit the Naiku.
