Papery pattern
I will introduce a method to make paper like patterns. The patterns can be used for not only for anime-inspired pictures but also textures.
1. Start with a white canvas. Choose [Filter > Noise > Add Noise]. [Amount: 5%, Distribution: Gaussian], check [Monochromatic].
2. [Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur], [Radius: 1.0 pixels]
3. [Image > Adjustments > Hue/Saturation], check Colorize. Then adjust the Hue, Saturation and Lightness tint as you like. You’re finished.
For texture, pick [Filter > Texture > Texturerizer], adjust the [Texture: Sandstone, Scaling: 100%, Relief: 1, Light: Top].
